Philips FidelioDS9800W SoundSphere docking speakers

I want to buy more and put them around my house. Where can I get them

Couldn't wait to get my hands on these and was not disappointed. I have a large collection of speakers and these are definitely high on my favourites list. Had some minor problems connecting wirelessly initially and could not get the docking station to work but dont need it anyway. Its a shame they did not have independent amplifiers and wireless receivers in each speaker to make them truly wireless (ie: no wires needed for connection between the two speakers). The internet radio feature promised in some advertising by Philips seems to have been removed from the SoundStudio application and the . That is a shame quite frankly. The quality of sound makes up for everything and I can't believe the quality of the finish. You would be forgiven for looking at them and thinking of a European brand which would demand a price tag four times the RRP for these babies.

Hi guys, I agree that the WIFI Airplay of these beauties is flaw but you can always convert them to use bluetooth through the use of an external bluetooth receiver via the MP3 link - that is what I did and they work flawlessly... enjoy

Bought these a few years ago and they worked for a while before starting to disconnect from the wifi. I put them in storage for a couple of years and recently took them out and tried using them but they're dead. Will try and see if Phillips will repair them for me under ACL but it's unlikely.

Very unhappy with these speakers. Had to have repaired only a few months after purchase & they stopped working again but now they're out of warranty. Very poor for such a expensive item.

failed after only 10 months post purchase. Am about to engage with Philips/Harvey Norman to see about repair/replacement under warranty. we'll see how we go...

The SoundSphere looks great, and sounds good. I very much enjoyed using it for a year. Unfortunately mine has stopped working one day out of warranty! It is a beautiful product, but not one anyone should buy if they expect it to last for a reasonable period of time.
