Shaver series 3000 S210 Non-rechargable shaver

Had to buy this one because my AT890 stopped working while in Thailand. Have used this now a number of times and like it rather well. Pity cannot be recharged!

On my 1st open of box I had same feel as most reviews here, no charging. After travelling for a couple of times, I find that it is efficient, of cos not as good as manual blade shaving. Easy to clean, AND some how I start to appreciate the no charging required. So I can just pickup and go. The only concern I have is no battery indicator. Hence this could result in sudden death when travelling.

My shaver batt was getting low, so I opened the back cover and inside..tada ...3 pcs of AA GP Brand alkaline battery. So much for making a single use throwaway non- rechargeable shaver - look how much waste you are creating Mr Philips.

A charger that comes with a non replaceable and not rechargeable battery. Stupid and waste of resources. Do not buy!!!

Everything is good about this shaver .. Great looking charger with excellent travel lock ... except who came up with the idea to make this non rechargeable or non replaceable batteries made a big mistake... I am returning it asap and exchanging it for another philips shaver with replaceable or rechargeable batteries. There was no indication on the box that it is a "one time use" shaver....I nearly threw away the receipt and I was really upset when I unboxed it at home.
